Alright, on with the show! :)

As mentioned in the previous post, we went exploring around after we got unpacked and a little rested!

Our hotel was in a great location; right down the road from Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The London Eye, etc. We were also within a block to Victoria Underground station (which once figured out was a great means of transportation---Orlando needs one!)

Right around the corner from the hotel was this building, which housed an LA Fitness! Just fascinating because the LA Fitnesses around here certainly don't look like that!

We decided to continue down the road to try and find Big Ben, Parlaiment, and The London Eye! We could see the top of the London Eye, so we knew we were headed in the right direction! This was also our first sighting of a double decker bus!!!!

About a half mile down the road, we found everything we were looking for!

It was amazing to see these structures in person! They always appeared amazing through photographs, but nothing compares to actually seeing them in person! The architectural details, the size, just everything was breath taking!

Once we were through taking pictures here, we started to walk back an explore some more! We stumbled across some beautiful gardens and then Buckingham Palace!!

More to come soon!

Welcome to Hotel 41!

We arrived in London and luckily found our way easily to the train station and into the taxi cue! It only took about 15 minutes to get through the line and on our way to the hotel!

Chris had kept the hotel a secret from me, so it was a lot of fun to see where we ended up! He booked a room for us at Hotel 41, very close to Buckingham Palace! In fact, the address was 41 Buckingham Palace Road! It’s a very quaint, boutique hotel with only a simple flag outside!

This is a 28-room hotel with a black and white theme. Everything on the inside from the floor tiling, wallpaper, room décor, etc. is all done in black and white with rich brown wood accents!

One thing that did not go unnoticed was the amazing customer service. The minute we stepped foot in the tiny lobby area, our bags were taken and we were whisked away to their upstairs “library,” which was where breakfast was served, their business center and concierge desk was located! Once we arrived in the library, we were served tea and a few pastries while we waited to check in!

After a pot of Earl Grey tea and a mini croissant or two, we were escorted to our room!

Since Chris must have mentioned we were on our honeymoon, they were kind enough to upgrade us to one of their best suites in the hotel; it was amazing! Three rooms, three bathrooms (which included heated tile floors and plasma screen TV’s), and a huge walk in closet! (Plus a fairly decent view!)

It even had a flat-screen TV that, with the touch of a button, would come up and lower back down into a chest! It was great; Chris loved it!

We spent the next hour or so unpacking and settling in! Afterwards, we were off to explore!!
P.S. Chris has much better pictures, which I will post when I get them! :)

Ah, Airplane Luxury!

We arrived at the airport with about an hour until we needed to board the airplane! I poked my head into a few magazine shops to try and find some additional reading material for the long flight, but we headed straight for the gate right after!

Right next to the gate was a terminal restaurant named O'Neals! We had to get Chris' picture in front of it, especially since it was actually spelled the right way!

We were fortunate enough to be riding in the front of the plane, which proved to be very comfortable and certainly made the 6.5 hour flight over a little easier!

A glass of champagne, a dinner menu, a pillow and comforter, and some comfy grey socks at our seats were the perfect welcoming items!

Shortly after 9:45 PM we took off for London, dinner was served, and Chris and I eventually fell into watching our respective movies and/or TV shows! I think Chris' evening was filled with old "The Office" episodes and I spent mine watching "Bolt" and "Bedtime Stories!"

At around 9 AM, London time, we arrived, proceeded through customs and made our way to our Hotel to check in!!

More to come!

First Travel Day!

On May 13th, we started our journey with the first flight to JFK airport in New York City! We had about a 7-hour layover before the overnight flight for London left.

View of Downtown from plane window

Once we landed, we took a taxi to Manhattan to spend a few hours being touristy and visit with Kelly!

Here are some pictures:

Times Square

No trip to NYC would be complete without a visit here!

Yum!

After strolling around, we headed for the Crumbs near Bryant Park to get some cupcakes and relax!

Orange Creamsicle

Lemon Meringue

We met up with Kelly for a glass of champagne before heading back to the airport!

More to come; stay tuned :)

Welcome!

Hey Everyone!

Chris and I want to share our amazing experiences, pictures, and stories from our recent honeymoon trip in Europe! We thought a blog would be an easy and great way to do just that

As most of you know, we were in Europe for 9 days at the end of May and visited London, Paris, and Reims!

We have waited quite a while to have the opportunity to take our honeymoon; but it was well worth the wait!

Stay Tuned!
